Black Friday 2026 Router and Mesh Deals: What's Worth Buying
No 2026 sale prices are out yet, so pick the right model now and judge the deal when it lands.
Key takeaways
- Black Friday falls on November 27, 2026. As of October 30, retailers had not announced 2026 router or mesh prices, so this guide lists none.
- Match the router to your plan speed first. On plans above 1 Gbps, look for 2.5 Gbps or faster ports, such as on the TP-Link Archer BE550 or eero 7.
- A real deal beats the item's own recent selling price, not a "list" price. Check price history before you buy.
- Xfinity and Spectrum already include a gateway or modem at no extra cost on current plans, so a new router mostly buys better Wi-Fi, not a lower bill.
Where 2026 deals stand
Thanksgiving 2026 is Thursday, November 26, which puts Black Friday on November 27 and Cyber Monday on November 30. As of October 30, 2026, we found no announced 2026 Black Friday prices for the routers and mesh systems below.
That is useful, not a problem. The best time to choose a router is before the countdown timers start. Decide what your home needs, shortlist two models, and then you only have one question on sale day: is this price actually low?
Everything below comes from manufacturer spec pages we opened on October 30, 2026. We have not tested these products. Treat the picks as a shortlist built from published specs.
Models worth watching, by use case
The table sorts each pick by the job it does. Port speeds matter more than headline Wi-Fi numbers, which are maximum physical rates that real devices do not reach. TP-Link's own spec pages say as much.
| Use case | Model | Wi-Fi | Wired ports (per unit) | Mesh |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Plans up to 1 Gbps, tight budget | TP-Link Archer AX55 | Wi-Fi 6, dual-band (AX3000) | One 1 Gbps WAN, four 1 Gbps LAN | OneMesh and EasyMesh |
| Entry Wi-Fi 7, 2 Gbps-ready | TP-Link Archer BE230 | Wi-Fi 7, dual-band (BE3600) | Two 2.5 Gbps (WAN + LAN), three 1 Gbps LAN | EasyMesh |
| Busy home, many devices | TP-Link Archer BE550 | Wi-Fi 7, tri-band incl. 6 GHz (BE9300) | Five 2.5 Gbps (1 WAN, 4 LAN) | EasyMesh |
| Multi-gig fiber (2 Gbps and up) | ASUS RT-BE86U | Wi-Fi 7, dual-band (no 6 GHz) | One 10G WAN/LAN, one 2.5G WAN/LAN, three 2.5G LAN | AiMesh |
| Budget mesh, medium-large home | TP-Link Deco X55 | Wi-Fi 6, dual-band (AX3000) | Three 1 Gbps | Deco app; up to 4,500 sq. ft. per 2-pack |
| Simple mesh, gig plans | eero 6+ | Wi-Fi 6 | Two 1 GbE | Up to 1,500 sq. ft. per unit |
| Wi-Fi 7 mesh, plans up to 2.5 Gbps | eero 7 | Wi-Fi 7 | Two 2.5 GbE | Up to 2,000 sq. ft. per unit |
| Wi-Fi 7 mesh, plans up to 5 Gbps | eero Pro 7 | Wi-Fi 7, tri-band | Two 5 GbE | Up to 2,000 sq. ft. per unit |
| Wi-Fi 7 mesh, more wired devices | TP-Link Deco BE63 | Wi-Fi 7, tri-band incl. 6 GHz (BE10000) | Four 2.5 Gbps | Up to 5,800 sq. ft. per 2-pack |
Single routers
TP-Link Archer AX55. A dual-band Wi-Fi 6 router with gigabit ports, a USB 3.0 port, and support for both OneMesh and EasyMesh, per TP-Link. It is the sensible floor for a plan at or below 1 Gbps. Search Archer AX55 on Amazon.
TP-Link Archer BE230. TP-Link lists two 2.5 Gbps ports, one for WAN and one for LAN, alongside three gigabit LAN ports. That pairing lets a 2 Gbps plan reach one wired computer at full speed. The trade-off: no 6 GHz band. Search Archer BE230 on Amazon.
TP-Link Archer BE550. Tri-band Wi-Fi 7 with a 6 GHz radio and five 2.5 Gbps ports. TP-Link lists Multi-Link Operation, 320 MHz channels on 6 GHz, and a USB 3.0 port. It is the most complete package here for a crowded home. Search Archer BE550 on Amazon.
ASUS RT-BE86U. ASUS lists a 10G WAN/LAN port plus four 2.5G ports, AiMesh support, and dual-WAN. It skips 6 GHz, so its value is the 10G port for 2 Gbps-plus fiber. Search RT-BE86U on Amazon.

Mesh systems
TP-Link Deco X55. TP-Link lists up to 4,500 sq. ft. for a 2-pack and 6,500 sq. ft. for a 3-pack, with three gigabit ports per unit and optional Ethernet backhaul. Search Deco X55 on Amazon.
eero 6+. eero lists up to 1,500 sq. ft. per unit and recommends it for plans up to 1 Gbps. eero Plus is optional; eero's shop page lists it at $9.99 a month or $99.99 a year after a trial. Search eero 6+ on Amazon.
eero 7 and eero Pro 7. Both are Wi-Fi 7 and cover up to 2,000 sq. ft. per unit, per eero. The eero 7 has two 2.5 GbE ports for plans up to 2.5 Gbps. The Pro 7 has two 5 GbE ports for plans up to 5 Gbps. Search eero 7 or eero Pro 7 on Amazon.
TP-Link Deco BE63. Tri-band Wi-Fi 7 with four 2.5 Gbps ports per unit and up to 5,800 sq. ft. per 2-pack, per TP-Link. Extra ports help if you have a desk, console, and TV near each unit. Search Deco BE63 on Amazon.

Wi-Fi 7 vs. last-gen: when the older model wins
Black Friday often discounts last year's hardware hardest. That can be the smarter buy, depending on two things: your plan speed and your devices.
The Wi-Fi Alliance lists three headline Wi-Fi 7 features. These are 320 MHz channels in the 6 GHz band, Multi-Link Operation, and 4K QAM, which it says delivers about 20% higher transmission rates than Wi-Fi 6. You only get those gains when your phone or laptop also supports Wi-Fi 7.
- Buy last-gen Wi-Fi 6 if your plan is 1 Gbps or slower and most devices are Wi-Fi 6 or older. Gigabit ports are not a bottleneck here.
- Buy Wi-Fi 7 if your plan is above 1 Gbps, you plan to upgrade soon, or you own recent Wi-Fi 7 phones or laptops.
- Do not pay extra for 320 MHz on a dual-band model. TP-Link and the Wi-Fi Alliance both tie 320 MHz channels to 6 GHz, which dual-band routers like the BE230 and RT-BE86U lack.
A 1 Gbps port caps a wired device at roughly 1 Gbps no matter what plan you pay for. If your plan is 2 Gbps, you need a 2.5 Gbps or faster WAN port and at least one matching LAN port.
How to judge a Black Friday deal
A big percentage off proves little. The FTC's Guides Against Deceptive Pricing say a former price should be one the item was openly and actively offered at for a reasonable period. A "was" price that never really applied is the classic trap.
- Write down today's price. Before November, note what your two shortlisted models sell for at two or three major retailers.
- Check price history. Use a price-tracking tool or the retailer's own history where shown. The deal should beat the lowest price from the past few months, not just the list price.
- Confirm the exact model. Check the full model number and pack size. A 2-pack and 3-pack mesh look alike in thumbnails.
- Compare per-unit cost for mesh. Divide the price by the number of units, then compare with buying a 2-pack plus one later.
- Check who sells it. On marketplaces, confirm the seller and return window. A third-party seller may offer a shorter window than the retailer.
- Read subscription terms. Some mesh brands sell optional plans. eero Plus, for example, is listed at $9.99 a month after a trial. Budget that only if you want it.
Retailers sometimes discount a bundle with an older satellite unit or a lower-end model. Match every unit's model number to the spec page before checkout.
Check ISP compatibility before you buy
Any router on this list works behind a modem or fiber terminal. The question is what your provider's box does and whether you can retire it.
| Provider type | What you need | What the provider says |
|---|---|---|
| Xfinity (cable) | Your router plus Xfinity's gateway, or your own compatible modem | Xfinity says devices must work with Xfinity and support your plan speed. It also says latest plans include its gateway at no extra cost. |
| Spectrum (cable) | Your router plus Spectrum's modem, or an authorized modem | Spectrum's modem policy requires authorized devices and recommends its fully certified list. Its broadband disclosure lists the modem lease at no charge. |
| AT&T Fiber | AT&T gateway, with your router behind it | Owners commonly use the gateway's IP Passthrough setting so their own router gets the public IP. |
| Verizon Fios | Your router connected to the fiber terminal by Ethernet | A Verizon community article says this works for internet but is not supported by Verizon, and Fios TV boxes complicate it. |
The money angle matters. On current Xfinity and Spectrum plans, the basic gateway or modem is not a separate charge, per their pages checked October 30, 2026. A new router mainly saves money if you drop an add-on, such as Spectrum's $10 a month Advanced WiFi. Our ISP router vs. your own router guide walks through that trade-off.
Know your plan speed before you shop

Compare plans at your addressPre-Black Friday buying checklist
| Question | Why it matters | Where to check |
|---|---|---|
| What is my plan's download speed? | Sets the minimum port speed you need | Your bill or provider account |
| How big is my home, and how many floors? | Decides one router vs. mesh | Compare against the maker's coverage figure |
| Do my newest devices support Wi-Fi 7? | Wi-Fi 7 features need Wi-Fi 7 devices | Device spec sheet |
| Do I need wired ports near the TV or desk? | Mesh units differ from two to four ports | Manufacturer spec page |
| Does my provider's box need to stay? | Affects setup and double NAT | Provider support pages |
| What has this model sold for recently? | Separates real drops from inflated "was" prices | Price-history tools and retailer listings |
If your shortlisted model does not drop below its recent low, waiting is a fine outcome. Routers go on sale at other times of year too.
FAQ
Have Black Friday 2026 router prices been announced?
Not as of October 30, 2026. This guide lists no sale prices on purpose. Use it to decide which model fits your home before deals appear, then judge each deal against that model's own price history.
Is a Wi-Fi 7 router worth it if my phone and laptop only have Wi-Fi 6?
It can be, mainly for the faster wired ports. Models like the TP-Link Archer BE230 and eero 7 have 2.5 Gbps Ethernet, which matters if your plan is faster than 1 Gbps. If your plan is 1 Gbps or slower and your devices are Wi-Fi 6, a discounted Wi-Fi 6 router covers most of what you need.
Do I need mesh, or will one router do?
Use the coverage figures manufacturers publish as a rough guide. Google lists the Nest Wifi Pro at up to 2,200 sq. ft. per router and eero lists the eero 7 at up to 2,000 sq. ft. per unit. Larger homes, multiple floors, or thick walls usually justify a second unit.
Can I use a Black Friday router with AT&T Fiber or Verizon Fios?
Usually yes, with caveats. AT&T Fiber customers commonly keep the AT&T gateway and pass the connection through to their own router. A Verizon community article says own-router setups work for Fios internet but are not supported by Verizon, and Fios TV boxes add complications.
Will a new router let me stop paying an equipment fee?
Check your bill first. Xfinity says its latest plans include the gateway at no extra cost, and Spectrum's broadband disclosure lists the modem lease at no charge. The fee you might drop is an add-on Wi-Fi service, such as Spectrum's $10 per month Advanced WiFi.
